Tus InpENTURE made the twenty-eighth day of February, in the year of Our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty, between Acheton, Newoiquequah,
Woiqueshequome, Paushetaunouguitohe and W abakagigo, the principal chiefs, war-
iriors and people o1 the Mississagua Nation of Indians, of the ony part, and His
Mujesty George the Third, by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great
Britain and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, of the other part Witnesseth : that
for and in consideration of the sum of Fifty Pounds, Province Currency, of lawful
money of the Province of Upper Canada, by His said Majesty to the said Acheson, Newoi-
gueqauh, Woiqueshequome, Paushetaunoquitoke and Wabakagigo, well and truly paid
at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof they the
said Acheson, Newoiquequah, Woiqueshequome, Paushetaunoquitoke and W abakagigo,
do hereby acknowledge, and of and from the same and every part thereof, do acquit,
release and discharge His said Majesty, His heirs and successors, for ever by these
presents. They the said Acheson, Newoiquequah, Woiqueshequome, Paushe-
taunoquitoke and Wabakagigo, have, and each of them hath granted, bargained,
sold, released, surrendered and for ever yielded up, and by these presents do
snd each of them doth grant, bargain, sell, release, surrender and for ever yield up
unio His said Majesty, His heirs and successors, all that parcel or tract of land situate,
lying and being in the Township of Toronto, in the County of York, in the Home
District and Province of Upper Canada, and marked “KE” on the plan to this in-
denture annexed, being the central part of the Mississagua Indian Reserve on the
River Credit, in the said Township of Toronto, which said parcel or tract of land is
butted and bounded, or may be otherwise known as follows, that is to say -—Com-

mencing in the eastern limit of Dundas Street, in the southern boundary of the said
Indian Reserve ; thence south forty-five degrees east fifty chains ; thence north >
thirty-eight degrees east parallel to Dundas Street, three hundred chains, more or
less, to the northern boundary of the said Reserve ; thence north sixty-nine degrees
west twelve chains to where the said boundary line forms the first angle ; thence
south sixty-four degrees west one hundred and fifty-five chains, more or less, to where
the said boundary line forms the second angle ; thence north forty-five degrees west
twenty chains, more or less, until] it intersects a line north of Dundas Street and
parallel thereto, produced on a course north thirty-eight degrees east at the distance
of fifty chains on a course north forty-five degrees west from the western limit of
Dundas Street ; thence south thirty-eight degrees west parallel to the said street, one
hundred and sixty chains, more or less, to the southern boundary line of the said Re-
serve ; thence south forty-five degrees east fifty-one chains, more or less to the place
of beginning ; containing two thousand acres, more or less, together with all the
weeds and waters thereon lying and being and all and singular the rights, privileges
and appurtenances thereto belonging. To have and to hold the said pareel and tract
of land and premises with their and every of their appurtenances unto His said Ma-
jesty, His heirs and successors, to the use of His said Majesty, His heirs and suc-
cessors forever. vai
