Tus INDENTURE, made in duplicate, the sixth day of May, in the year of Our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five, between Angus Macdonald, of EKdmon-
ton, in the District of Alberta, of the first part, and the Right Honourable Sir John
A. Macdonald, Superintendent-General of Indian Affairs, of Ottawa, represented by
William Anderson, Indian Agent, Edmonton, of the second part.

Witnesseth that the said party of the first part, for and in consideration of two
hundred dollars of lawful money of Canada to him in hand paid by the said party of
the second part, at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents (the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged), has eranted, released and quitted claim, and
these presents do grant, release and quit claim unto the said party of the second part,
lis heirs and assigns forever, all the estate, right, title, interest, claim and demand
whatsoever, both at law and in equity or otherwise howsoever, and whether in poss es-
gion or expectancy of him the said party of the first part, of, in, to or out of all and
singular that certain parcel or tract of land and premises situate, lying and being
within the Reserve of the Two Hills Band of Cree Treaty Indians, commonly known
as Passpasstayo’s reserve, as defined by survey of Géorge A. Simpson, .0.5., in 1880,
and further survey of — Nelson, D.L.S., in 1884, and situated two (2) miles, more
or less, south of the North Saskatchewan River at Edmonton, with improvements
thereon of ten (10) acres of ploughed land under fence; together with the appurten-
ances thereunto belonging or appertaining. To have and to hold the aforesaid lands
and premises, with all and singular the appurtenances thereto belonging or apper-

Men of the Chippewas of Rama, resident on our reserve in the Township of Rama,
in the Province of Ontario and Dominion of Canada, for and acting on behalf of the
whole people of our said Band in council assembled, do hereby release, remise, surren-
der, quit claim and yield up unto Our Sovereign Lady the Queen, Her heirs and suc-
